I started playing baseball at the age of 4. I played Little League ball every year, spring and fall, and loved it. My memories of Coach Mark go back to those fun years. I came to the Monarchs my sophomore year to play on the team with my older brother, for his last year. It was a special season and a lot of fun. Over these past 3 years with the Monarchs I have made great friends and memories. It has been a blessing to be able to play ball and to play on a team that is unified in faith. I have a lot to be thankful to God for, my life has been blessed in many ways. One of my favorite scriptures is Isaiah 53:5, "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed". My advice to others would be from I Corinthians 10:31- “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
I want to thank the coaches: Coach Harrison, Coach Mark, and Coach Whittimore for all they have taught me and for giving their time, energy, and support to the Monarchs so that homeschoolers can have the opportunity to play ball.
In the fall I plan to attend Freed-Hardeman University where I will study business and engineering. And play all the intramural sports I can, including baseball. |
