Welcome to an uplifting experience that is competitive Christian Homeschool Baseball!
The Middle Tennessee Monarchs Baseball program was established in 1996 by Jeff Hartline. The intent of the program is to offer a high level of competitive baseball that parents and homeschool athletes might have not considered obtainable in choosing to educate at home rather than attending public or private school. Players from middle Tennessee and Kentucky have participated in high quality competitive baseball at the high school level. This team has established itself as one of the better homeschool programs in the country. We provide a vehicle for lessons of good sportsmanship as well as other aspects that competitive sports provides while allowing homeschool athletes to play in a competitive high school and junior high organization.
While we are based in Nashville, Tennessee, our High School Varsity team will travel to area cities such as Huntsville, Birmingham, Atlanta, and Memphis. The Monarchs also participate in a local fall ball program, winter indoor training, spring Varsity and Junior Varsity games, district and regional tournaments with the ultimate goal of qualifying for and winning the Homeschool World Series. We are a league affiliate of the Homeschool World Series Association (HWSA).
The Middle School team plays a highly competitive schedule in the spring against other teams in the Middle Tennessee area including an end of the season league tournament.
The Middle Tennessee Monarchs Baseball program is for those who want to take their baseball interest further, to achieve their maximum playing potential, and get in the best position possible for obtaining college scholarships and/or professional interest. If your previous baseball experience has been with Little League, Pony League or public school, you will rapidly encounter an exceptional and amazing difference with the Middle Tennessee Monarchs. As you come to know the other players, parents and coaches, you will welcome the uplifting experience of Christian homeschool baseball.
The bulk of our funds come from each player. Our expenses include but are not limited to coaches’ fees, equipment, uniforms, certified umpires and field rental. Lodging and transportation is absorbed by families as well. The Board has applied for status as a [501(c) (3)] under the umbrella of the Middle Tennessee Home Education Association (MTHEA) as a chapter affiliate (status pending). Under this affiliation, we will be able to solicit tax-deductible donations from individuals and companies to help offset the team’s expenses.
